ICE HOUSE SKATING ACADEMY
Founded in 2005, Ice House Skating Academy is the figure skating club for Kensington Valley Ice House in Brighton, Michigan and Hartland Ice House (Hartland Sports Center) in Hartland, Michigan. IHSA is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. We welcome all levels of skaters at any time throughout the year, and pride ourselves on making our rinks' Learn To Skate Basic Skills members part of the IHSA family. IHSA offers different levels of membership to suit your needs and budget including Theatre Only, 2nd club, Introductory and more. Ice House Skating Academy is a member of US Figure Skating, as well as ISI. Our skaters pursue a number of different disciplines, as it a goal of our club to foster all paths and forms of figure skating.

OUR MISSION
To foster figure skating on ice. To encourage the instruction, practice and advancement of the members in any or all disciplines of figure skating; and to encourage and cultivate a spirit of fraternal feeling among ice skaters.
ACCOLADES
IHSA is proud to be the home of TEAM USA, awarded to Harmony Theatre Company in 2012 by the United States Figure Skating Association. Harmony's Junior, Senior and Adult teams will be representing Team USA at the 2013 Nation's Cup in Logrono, Spain. In addition, the Hartland Ice House boasts our "Wall of Champions"; highlighting individuals and teams that have placed Pewter or higher at National level competitions and both rinks house banners for our individual National Champions. Every year our skaters can be seen at many of the local annual competitions; both US and ISI, and our competitive skaters represent at EGL Regionals, Midwestern Sectionals (Nussle & Olson), US Championships (Jacob Nussle & Ashlyn Olson- Intermediate Pairs-Omaha 2013), National Showcase, and Theatre on Ice Nationals.
EVENTS
Ice House Skating Academy hosts a number of different events throughout the season, including the annual ice show, exhibitions for the Learn to Skate classes, the all-night party, send off exhibitions for national competitions, and our yearly banquet. We also host the annual Michigan Showcase competition and the Grassroots to Champions seminar- the only club in Michigan to do so.
